I’m a tour guide, multimedia journalist, and running coach with more than 25 years of professional experience telling stories about New York City and its people.
I grew up in New York City and Rome, Italy, with Czech and Indian parents and living an atypical expatriate/immigrant experience.
I’m the founder of New York on Foot, which is a tour, experience, and travel information brand.
I produce Spirits in the Material World, a blog about liquor and beer, and Running Book Club, a blog and podcast about books for runners.
I help visitors (and locals!) discover New York and New Jersey's history, nature, food, drink, and culture via neighborhoods, parks, and trails.
Some of my favorite places in New York include Central Park, Governors Island, and Astoria.
I’m a graduate of Columbia Journalism School and a two-time finisher of the New York City Marathon.
In my 30-year-plus career, I've survived TV news, print and digital journalism, and book publishing. I came to tour guiding in 2024 and view it as a natural progression of my career as a storyteller.
I’m a proud member of GANYC (of course) as well as the Society of Professional Journalists, National September 11 Memorial & Museum, and New York Road Runners.
I’m available for day tours in New York City, northern New Jersey, and the Jersey Shore.
I specialize in private and public tours of Ground Zero and 9/11 Memorial, the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island and other National Park Service sites, breweries and distilleries, and more. I also lead urban hikes and nature walks in and around the city.
