I'm Robert Driemeyer, a licensed New York City tour guide, performer, Broadway producer, and the creator of Broadway Barfly — a brand celebrating New York's legendary nightlife culture. From Broadway theaters to cabarets, supper clubs to speakeasies, this is the New York I love and love to explore.
Broadway Barfly began as a YouTube channel before debuting as a live cabaret show, premiering at the prestigious 54 Below, with subsequent performances at Green Room 42 and the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The brand has expanded into private and corporate events for ZO Clubhouse at Rockefeller Center and The Spiral, bringing New York's storied cocktail culture and Café Society to contemporary audiences.
As a performer, I have appeared in over thirty musicals, performed stand-up comedy across New York City, and most recently starred aboard Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas. As a producer, my Broadway credits include the 2010 Tony Award–winning revival of La Cage aux Folles, and Off Broadway, the critically acclaimed revival of Tennessee Williams' The Two-Character Play, starring Amanda Plummer and Brad Dourif.
My walking tours will take you on an immersive journey, discovering the remarkable people, places, and events whose fabled history hides in plain sight on the streets of New York. I offer a signature guided tour, as well as private group experiences and customized itineraries for those wanting to go deeper into a particular corner of this world. If you have a vision, let's talk!

My personal interests lie in the worlds I love to explore.
I'm a student of classic cocktails, as curious about how they came to be as I am about how they taste.
I'm a student of Broadway, as excited to see the award-winning hits as I am to hear the cast recordings of long-forgotten flops.
I'm a student of the arts, as thrilled by the latest exhibit as I am by revisiting the 19th century European paintings for the umpteenth time.
My philosophy is "see it while you can," it’ll be up to you to carry the history forward after it’s gone. When push comes to shove, I'll choose history over hashtags every time.
